Alluka &amp; Nanika Zoldyck

"Kathy helped a lot!" Alluka insisted, as she bounced off her bed and over to the closet. "I didn't even know I didn't have everything until it came up for class."

She opened her closet with a flourish and, with it, tucked the last of her bad mood away. She could think about it later and talk about it with her toys. They kept all her secrets.

"Ta-dah!"

As far as clothing went, Alluka had pretty much what was needed for the basics. Shirts, skirts, some pants in various pastel shades, a couple of fairly basic, but still cute, dresses. Her fancier dress that she'd shown up wearing was hanging up too.

"Came up for class, huh?" Mabel pursed her lips as she leaned forward to inspect the contents of the closet. "What were you missing for class? We'll see if we can cover at least the basics, since I know our adventure class does a lot of different stuff we might need special clothes for."

From:

"I don't have a bathing suit," she admitted. "So I didn't go, when they said we needed one."

There'd been a temper tantrum that only her toys had been witness to that day, but now she was okay with having missed the fun.

From:

"Oooh. Well, that can be the first thing we remedy, then! A bathing suit for Alluka!"

So that she could do things like swim! And go tubing! Problem solved!

From:

"We could all get new ones," Ringo suggested with a smile. It'd be fun!

"And I don't see a hat in here," she added. "Everyone needs a cute hat in case they want to spend all day out in the sun." And didn't want to burn.

From:

"I don't want it to ruin my hair," she said, looking doubtful. Her hairbands and ribbons and things were much cuter.

But all of them getting new bathing suits sounded like fun!

From:

"We can probably find something that won't ruin your hair," Mabel decided. "A cute visor or something! Oh! Or we could get you a parasol! Like princesses in the movies use!"

... Was it princesses who used them? Or just high-society ladies?

From:

Oh, that made Ringo think of something! "Do you have a cute umbrella?" Everyone needed a cute umbrella! So they could look cute when it rained!

From:

Did she?

Alluka had to think about it and then, with her bunny still in her arms, peeked into her closet.

"I don't think I do?"

From:

"We'll have to put it on the list, then," Mabel decreed. "Something to get wet in, and something to stay dry with! Ooh, you'll need rubber boots and a cute raincoat, too!"

These were important things!

From:

"Yes!" Ringo hummed as she looked over the closet.

"Are we forgetting anything?"

From:

Alluka giggled. "I don't know! That's why you two are here."

What? It was!

From:

"Hmm, okay..." Mabel pursed her lips. "Do you have something warm to wear if it gets cold out? Or something fancy to wear to dances?"

They had to cover all their bases!

From:

"Oh, oh! Fancy dresses!" Waaaay more important than warm coats.

Though those were useful, too.

"We should make sure to try on a whole bunch!"

From:

They could always get warm coats later, when summer wasn't starting up. They'd have a better selection then anyway.

"Fancy dresses," she said, as if they'd been waiting for her to make up her mind. "All of the fancy dresses!"

From:

"We'll be the best-dressed ladies on the island!"

Because really, like it took much convincing to get Mabel to want to dress up fancy!

From:

Ringo beamed. "Yes! We'll need something for the party, anyway!" Right, Alluka?

From:

Oh! That's right!

She beamed at Mabel. "Ringo and I are going to have a party on the roof! You'll come, won't you?"

From:

"A party!" Mabel was thrilled. "I love parties! What kind of party is it going to be?"

She was excellent at parties. Oh, she could bring the silly string!

From:

"We don't know all the details yet," Ringo giggled. "But we do know that it'll be fancy dress-up. And on the roof." And maybe princess-y. That was as far as they'd gotten with the planning so far.

From:

"It will be fun," Alluka said, hopeful and earnest in equal measure. "Are we done with my closet yet?"

From:

"I think so," Mabel decreed, filing away the minimal information about the party for future consideration, and then giving a grin and two thumbs-up. "We've got a few important pieces to get today to help fill out your wardrobe, so we're probably good to go!"

From:

Ringo nodded in agreement.

"Mabel's right. Besides, if we realize later that we're missing something, we can always make another trip!"

From:

She looked down at her bunny and made it look back up at her. It was coming along, she guessed, since it had been the one she'd hugged when she'd wanted a toy in her arms.

She looked up and beamed. "Then we should hurry! Before everything closes!"

From:
