Room 202, Wednesday Afternoon

Alluka was waiting!

She was actually really, really good at waiting, so it didn't bother her to do it. Besides, she had a very important task ahead of her to figure out before Ringo and Mabel showed up.

(She was mostly sure they were going to show up. Sure, they'd said they would, but her brother, Killua, said he would too and then she always had to wait forever… but eventually, she supposed, everyone would show up the way they were supposed to. Which… took a lot of wind out of that complaint, it really did.)

Today, she had her hair up in twin pigtails and was wearing one of the skirt and shirt combos that Kathy had bought her as she paced back and forth in front of her bed, deep in thought.

On the bed, three stuffed animals surveyed her deliberations with great seriousness. (Or, well, she pretended they did anyway.)

The first, and most difficult, question of the day was: which toy was coming with her on this very exciting trip into town?

Bunny, giraffe, or panda?

"A party!" Mabel was thrilled. "I love parties! What kind of party is it going to be?"

She was excellent at parties. Oh, she could bring the silly string!

"We don't know all the details yet," Ringo giggled. "But we do know that it'll be fancy dress-up. And on the roof." And maybe princess-y. That was as far as they'd gotten with the planning so far.

"It will be fun," Alluka said, hopeful and earnest in equal measure. "Are we done with my closet yet?"

"I think so," Mabel decreed, filing away the minimal information about the party for future consideration, and then giving a grin and two thumbs-up. "We've got a few important pieces to get today to help fill out your wardrobe, so we're probably good to go!"

Ringo nodded in agreement.

"Mabel's right. Besides, if we realize later that we're missing something, we can always make another trip!"

She looked down at her bunny and made it look back up at her. It was coming along, she guessed, since it had been the one she'd hugged when she'd wanted a toy in her arms.

She looked up and beamed. "Then we should hurry! Before everything closes!"

"Yes we should! The faster we get there, the more dresses we can try on!"

And it would be glorious. So, so glorious. Or disastrous, maybe. Hard to tell, with these three.

"And swim suits! And cute hats!" And all sorts of other stuff, too!

She burst out laughing and flung her arms wide.

"Out the door!"

Alluka was going to shove them out the door, if she had to, but it'd be gentle shoving because she was giggling too much to be mean.

"Yes, ma'am," Ringo giggled, playfully leaning back into Alluka's shoving hands as she let herself get pushed out the door.

Alluka was still giggling as she kept pushing. "You two weren't moving fast enough!" she insisted.

"Well, then," Ringo said, reaching back to grab at both the other girls' hands, tugging at them. "Let's get going, then!"

Alluka yelped in surprise, nearly stumbling as the tables were turned on her, but she burst out laughing once she recovered her balance.

"Run, Ringo! Run!"

"Everyone, run!" Mabel was stumbling a bit herself, but recovered quickly enough and started skipping down the hall. "To the stairs! And then.. to victory!"

Or a bathing suit. One of those things.

"And shopping!" Alluka said happily. "All of the shopping!"

So much shopping! If the store clerks had any idea what was coming for them, they'd tremble in fear.
